1. Do Not Duplicate Your Posts

I understand that it is simple to just copy and paste your ads. However, Craigslist is too smart for this. With sophisticated programming, Craigslist is able to automatically remove your post, or even keep your posts from becoming visible to the public, often referred to as "ghosting". You must make each of your posts unique both in the body of the post, and in the title. 

2. Use Different IP Addresses

The IP (Internet Protocol) Address is a numerical identification which is associated with your Internet network. Often with a DSL modem, simply rebooting your modem by unplugging it, and then powering it up will produce a new IP Address. If you make too many posts from the same IP address, Craigslist will flag and remove your posting.

3. Do Not Spam

The easiest way to not make money on Craigslist, is to abuse it. Do not recklessly over-post your URL. If you do, your URL will be flagged and all posts containing your URL will be taken down. Furthermore, if Craigslist gets tired of you spamming, they will contact the owner of program or affiliate network which you are promoting, and you run the risk of being banned from that program or affiliate network as well.

4. Capture The Reader's Curiosity

One of the best ways to capture the curiosity of the reader is to keep it short. This is one of the things which will separate you from the other posts. Gain the reader's interest, and keep them wanting more information. If you do this, you have a much higher chance of them responding to your post.

5. Do Not Be A Quitter

Just as is always to case, if you want to make money, you cannot quit if things do not go your way early. One of the most effective ways to make money is persistence over time. I know that this is easier said than done. However, when you get that first lead, or first sale, trust me, there is nothing like it.
