Ways To Make Money By Inventing Something

Looking for ways to make money?  Why don't you be the inventor or innovator? Here are some new product ideas for things which are yet to be invented, or innovations yet to be tried. As far as I am aware, there are no patents on the following ideas, however, you should conduct your own due diligence.

a) If you have ever studied Psychology, you have learned about positive association. Russian scientist Ivan Pavlov trained dogs to salivate when a bell rang simply by ringing a bell whenever they ate. He thus created in the dogs' minds, a positive association with the ringing of the bell.

Consider inventing the Pavlovian Dog Collar (ie. collar = caller). Imagine a small beeper on your dog's collar. Each time you feed you dog, you start the beeper with a remote controlled device. Before long, all you have to do to get your dog to come running to the kitchen is push that button and make the device beep.

With today's technology, this device could have your dog running home within a mile radius. Think about it. Whoever invented the invisible fence to train dogs to stay in the yard is already using negative association. Now is your opportunity  to take advantage of new ways to make money with positive association.

b) Think of a game which stimulates our innate creativity and you have "The Innovation Game". The Innovation Game is a competitive battle of wits and innovation, driving the development of players' creative skills. Randomly shuffled cards challenge players to invent something on a board, based on a set of criteria. For example, a card might require players to combine two concepts, and come up with the most innovative solution. A vast array of problem solving techniques would be exercised using these cards.

c) Improve on the current pedal boat. Currently, the pedal boats which you see at many parks are designed so that two people can pedal them around a pond or lake. While this looks like fun to the onlooker, it is not as fun as it looks. If you have ever tried one of these things, you will realize that you need to exert a good amount of energy to move just a few meters in the water. This makes the ride very slow.

To add some velocity to the pedal boat, you can design something which is more aerodynamic. Rather than having passengers sit side by side, you can have them sit one behind the other.  Moreover if you can invent one which can actually hydroplane, you probably become a billionaire.

d) With all of the recent interest in metal detectors and treasure hunting, it would be natural to invent an underwater treasure hunting camera. In fact, in years past there was a treasure hunter who regularly found guns, money and more in the murky waters of rivers, using nothing more than a tube with a plexiglass glued over one end, and a light strapped to the outside. He held the device near the bottom of the river and was able to see what was there.

I think we are onto something here. All we need is a small camera, which can be placed in a waterproof tube. Cameras nowadays are as small as the head of a pin, so this will be no problem. This device could be lowered to great depths from any boat or dock. Perhaps a motorized claw at the end can be used to snatch what we have zoomed in on. Anything is possible when brainstorming for ways to make money with inventions.
